Capps Full Mouth Speculum

Capps Manufacturing, Inc. has developed a new full mouth equine dental speculum. Here is a list of some of the improved design features of the new, "CAPPS ", patent pending, full mouth speculum. Little things that make a big difference.

          NO RATCHETS - Uses a unique locking slide mechanism that eliminates the need for any ratchet teeth. It is infinitely adjustable, as you open it, it locks wherever you stop until you release it.

THE ADVANTAGES OF A SOLID FRAME SPECULUM WITHOUT THE WEIGHT - The left and right frame stop against tooth plates so the frames are held away from the horses head. This feature also eliminates the need for a spreader bar.

GEOMETRY- Longer frame moves pivot point closer to TMJ. Upper tooth plates angled down to address incisor table angle.

          HIGH STRENGTH SOLID STAINLESS STEEL- Fabricated and machined from solid 17-4 PH stainless steel, not a casting.

          EXTRA WIDE TOOTH PLATES- Comes standard with extra wide full surface tooth plates.

          IMPROVED ORAL ACCESS- The shape of the upper and lower frames provide greater oral access for hand floats and power equipment.
