Cleaning and Lubrication

Regular lubing is very important. We recommend lubing the head after every other horse.

Sterilization is essential. But the head should never be submerged and run in water. You can quickly dip the head to cool and to clean. Use a soft brush to clean with. Always grease at the end of the day to purge any moisture out of the head.

Do not run the tool in water! Water will damage the bearings! It is OK to dip in the water and

chlorhexidine to clean using a soft brush or wipe clean with a Clorox Wipe. Clean the disc using a brush to remove tooth matter.

(Remember that a buildup of tooth matter on the disc will cause more heat

and makes the disc less efficient.) Please review our Lube End of Day Video on our YouTube Channel

After cleaning, grease the head and always grease at the end of the day

to purge any moisture out of the head.

Storage

The ProFloat™ Handpiece should be stored at a temperature above 50°. We

recommend that you store your ProFloat™ inside your garage, clinic or office.

Do not leave the ProFloat™ in a car or truck for days at a time outside, as extreme hot and cold temperatures can cause condensation (moisture) to form inside the tool and cause damage.

Service

We recommend you send in your ProFloat™ Handpiece for service when there is

excessive wobble with the diamond burr.

As with a car, the ProFloat™ head has gears and bearings that will wear over use and time.

Do not attempt to take apart the ProFloat™ head. This will void the warranty. The ProFloat™is made up of custom gears and parts that are unique to the tool.
