This dual wedge speculum holds the horse's mouth open from both sides, therefore, allowing the horse to feel more comfortable, which allows better acceptance of the speculum.  Further, the dual wedge is a better fit and will not fall out of place.  This will allow ease of work and also reduces the chance of equipment damage.
